This policy explains what information BennaByte collects when you visit our website or get in touch with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain — if anything is unclear, email contact@bennabyte.com.

01Who we are

BennaByte (registered legal name, registered address) is a software development company that builds websites, web and mobile applications, custom software and digital products. In this policy, “BennaByte”, “we” and “us” mean us; “you” means anyone who visits www.bennabyte.com or contacts us.

02What we collect

Information you send us

When you email us — for example at sales@, contact@ or careers@bennabyte.com, or through a link on this site — we receive your name, email address, the content of your message and anything you attach, such as a project brief, CV or portfolio.

The subscribe form

Our website does not store the email address you type into the subscribe form. Submitting it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to contact@bennabyte.com; we only receive your address if you choose to send that email.

Technical information

Our website does not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept third-party resources:

  • Accept all — your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and a smooth-scrolling script from unpkg.com. Like any website request, these providers receive your IP address and basic browser information; their own privacy policies apply to that data.
  • Essential only — the site uses your device’s built-in fonts and normal scrolling, and contacts no third-party services.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Storage in your browser

We store two small preferences in your browser, never sent to us: your consent choice (in local storage, so we don’t ask on every visit — clear your browser data to reset it), and, if you hide Byte, our on-page guide, that choice for the rest of your visit (in session storage, cleared when you close the tab).

03How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiries and discuss, quote for and deliver projects.
  • To review job applications and contact candidates.
  • To send project updates and news, only if you asked to subscribe.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law, and to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

04Sharing

We only share personal information when we need to:

  • with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and file-storage providers, under appropriate confidentiality terms;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case we will tell you.

05Job applicants

If you apply for a role, we use your CV, portfolio and messages only to assess your application and contact you about it. Unless you ask us to delete them sooner, we keep unsuccessful applications for 12 months in case another suitable role opens, then delete them.

06How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above — for example, for the length of a project and any support period — or as long as the law requires us to keep business records. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

07Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure, reputable service providers. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from updates at any time;
  • complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email contact@bennabyte.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within a reasonable time.

09Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

10Other websites

Our site links to other websites, including projects we have built and social networks. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.
